This year, No Divide KC and InterUrban ArtHouse have partnered to present both the Queer Narratives Festival and the Queer Experience Exhibition throughout June, July and August! Visual Artists can submit their work to the Queer Experience to have their work considered for the June/July exhibition at the InterUrban ArtHouse. Performing Artists will submit their work to the Queer Narratives Festival to perform at the festival in August. All artists will have the opportunity to lead workshops, panels, open mics and other programming that will take place throughout the summer.

  • The Queer Experience welcomes all visual artists in the LGBTQ+ community to tell their stories and share their experiences with the world. What has your experience been? What lenses do you see the world through? How do you interpret what you see, and in what ways do you express this through your art?

  • The Queer Narratives Festival presents the highest quality LGBTQ+ performing artists in Kansas City. Known for its celebratory and inclusive energy, the Queer Narratives Festival features artists at all stages in their arts practice and represents all artistic mediums and queer identities.

Artists and performers in the LGBTQ, Non Binary, and Asexual community are welcome and encouraged to submit work.

The visual exhibition is directed toward local artists in the Kansas City, Kansas and Missouri regions. Out of area artists are welcome to apply, but will be responsible for all shipping costs and materials, both to and from the gallery.
