Singer/Songwriter Malek Azrael joins forces with poet and musician Lai Goddess to tell Lai’s story of overcoming anxiety, healing through art, and becoming an artist, mentor, and business owner. Lai Goddess will tell her story through spoken word, accompanied by the music of Malek Azrael. Both performers use art to work through anxiety, and have have been working with Art As Mentorship, a nonprofit that provides music training and mentorship to at risk youth and communities.

Malek Azrael is an African American artist, singer, songwriter and musician. Malek began writing at the age of 15 and fell in love with having the ability to tell stories, perspective, and positive messages in his music. He desires to help those in his community heal through the music he creates and inspire others to do the same in their own art and voices. On October 15, 2021, Malek released his first album ‘WAVES’ which was a composed of traditional R&B, and POP. Malek Azrael’s music and sound can be best compared to the likes of Daniel Caesar, John Mayer, H.E.R., and Tori Kelly.
Lai Goddess is an African American upcoming artist who found her love for music through poetry. She looks up to some of the greatest poets; Maya Angelou and Paul Laurence Dunbar, as they convey and deliver their truths in the form of poetry- Lai strives to deliver her truth in the many ways of expression through one’s voice. She is in the midst of recording her debut EP and looks forward to sharing her gifts with the world.
