The show will feature a mix of music that explores this lineage as well as original material from Making Movies' critically acclaimed new album 'ameri'kana.' As the leader and songwriter for Making Movies, the Kansas City-based band that Rolling Stone says is “breaking down walls in the United States,” with a mix of afro-latino rhythms and psychedelic rock’n’roll and its social activism front and center. The band's political idea is straightforward enough that they can express it in four words: “We are all immigrants.”
