Guest Speaker: Jason Ebberts
Jason started chasing light and creating images with his father’s Pentax 35mm film camera when he was in his teens. Numerous rolls of film later, he entered the world of digital photography.
Today he creates images nearly every day using whatever tool he has available; whether that is a digital camera, a cellular telephone, or a film camera. He prides himself on being approachable, and strives to capture moments of meaning and emotion. He is prolific on social media, and has a wide internet presence. Jason specializes in what would best be described as travel photography, with the ability to photograph and document action, still life, food, portraits, and events.
Jason’s images from sporting events have been published commercially on the national and international level. His fine art images have been used to enhance commercial institutions, as well as private collections. A local, internationally known museum purchased one of Jason’s images. This earned him the title of Contributing Photographer to The Nelson Atkins Museum of Art.
