Exploring Acrylic Painting Techniques:  Textured Mediums

Project is appropriate for beginner/intermediate students.  Project size 12x12

We will be using acrylic paint along with various texture mediums to achieve a heavily textured sea scape on 12x12 canvas. Students will have the opportunity to learn various techniques including basic brush skills, and pallet knife application. Entry level supplies are included, but students are welcome to bring their favorite brushes or pallet knives. 

Feel free to bring a beverage of your choice!

About the instructor:  Joy Baker is a multi-media artist and co-owner of Createful Studios, LLC, located in the InterUrban ArtHouse in Overland Park, KS.  Joy specializes in meaningful and symbolic art on canvas. Joy's vibrant, intricate and decorative art is mostly inspired by international cultural symbols, artifacts, architecture and the symmetry and beauty found in nature.
